The win also pushed the Colonials to 12 wins, surpassing a program-best of 11 wins set during the 2006-07 season. Junior Megan Picinic and sophomore Jessica Riley tallied goals while junior Brianne McLaughlin went the distance in goal with 26 saves, including a shutout third period against the second-ranked scoring offense in the country. Game two saw the Colonials drop a hard fought battle falling 2-1 to the Warriors in a mirror image of the first game. Junior Morgan Beikirch tallied the lone goal for RMU while McLaughlin finished with 21 saves.
