Some NHL attention for RMU Hockey

News for Cruthers is expected to come sometime tomorrow afternoon, regarding the speculation of his potential signing with an NHL organization.

I just received an email that was forwarded from the RMU Athletic department, a member of the San Jose Sharks has requested footage of RMU Hockey from this season, other than the coaches camera look.

It seems to be that RMU has garnered some attention in the national ranks, possibly Senior and CHA POTY, Ryan Cruthers will be getting a look from the Sharks.

    It's also been thought that the Anaheim Ducks are possibly in the running here, they've been to the Island once that I know of in person. One thing is for sure, you can spot a scout the minute he steps into the door, but ask him if he is an actual scout, and he will pretend to have no idea what you are talking about. I found that weird.

    Heard on campus today that Joel gasper will be playing in Cincinnati on Wednesday morning for Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL

    If that's true, then we can see Aaron Clarke, Joey Olson, and apparently, Joel Gasper of Friday March 28 in Wheeling, when the Nailers take on the Chiefs. I think the wife and I will make the trip!

    or this sunday in Johnstown, PA at 5PM...may be another one or two Colonials playing for either of these teams as well.

    Where ever Ryan does decide to play he will be an asset to the team. I enjoyed watching him play for 3 seasons @ RMU. It will be strange not to see him on the ice next season. It's cool to have 4 former RMU players currently playing in the minors!

    RMU penalty box are your really that stupid? Cruthers only played two years for the team, he had to sit out his first year, get a clue.

    hey, people make mistakes...let's not attack someone for saying Ryan played for 3 years when he only played 2 at RMU. It's all good.

    It is also good that people are starting to follow RMU Hockey on a more regular basis..We need to keep this enthusiasm for the team going through the summer and especially next year. Next year will be a "rebuilding year" with the majority of the team freshman & sophs.

    Anonymous, please remember when you correct somebody in the future, though it's hard to believe you'll ever find that many people to correct about anything, please use some manners and avoid calling people stupid! The fact that you would actually be that upset over something so trivial says about more about you, than it does about my error! I'll be too nice here, and refrain from calling you an idiot for the sake of the spirit of the board.
